I don't know if all of you knew this, but when Brian and I got married the San Diego Temple was going through a major face lift.
Yeah, it normally doesn't look like that at all. I was heartbroken, but what could I do? I wasn't going to wait until it was finished to be married and sealed to my Brian, so we just dealt with it. Like my father-in-law said, it makes for an interesting story, which is does.
Now, my friend Tara Harrison (formally Drake) mentioned to me after the wedding that she would love to take some pictures of us after the restoration was completed and I took her up on that. Once we found out I was pregnant Brian and I figured we needed to do it as soon as possible (so I could still fit in my dress). We threw it all together in the matter of a week. Tara was available and I was able to get my hair done again by the same great girl and my florist pulled through with our flowers. It was awesome. What made it even better was that the temple was closed for inside maintenance and so no one was on the grounds. It was just us!
Here are a few great pictures Tara took. We love them and I'm so happy to have some with the temple in it's full glory, because it's beautiful!
For me, this last picture was what it was all about! I wanted just 1 decent shot of Brian and I in front of the Temple that I could frame up nice and big! Totally worth it, plus we got a million other great pictures that I love too. It was a perfect day!
Thanks Tara! You're the best!
