The Rest of October

Pretty much all my posts will be pictures of Luke now, with an occasional story.  We sure do think he's cute!

Luke's favorite sleeping position, arms behind his head.

Luke makes lots of cute faces and we try to capture them.

We put Luke in his stroller for a walk around our neighborhood.  We have a great jogging trail that runs near our house and leads to some parks and playgrounds.  It's going to be awesome when Luke gets older.  He enjoyed the sunshine.

Little Froggy drying off from bath time.

I came into the room after taking a shower and found my boys like this.  So cute!

I was ambitious and made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies.  They are my favorite to make in the fall and I really wanted some.  Plus, I got to use my KitchenAid for the first time!  Yay!  Excuse my shirt.  If you're a USC fan you know who Booty is...John David Booty played quarterback for them about 5 years ago and my dad got me this shirt.  I love it.  Ha ha.

BB had to sample the batter.

10/21/11 Luke is 2 weeks old!

We had a smoke alarm that was beeping and it was driving me crazy.  We didn't have a ladder yet so Brian and to go out and get one so he could replace all the batteries.

The Ingram's came for a visit.

3 Generations of Ingram men.  :)

We are now the owners of a lawn mower.  Here's Brian cutting our grass.  I think he's ready for Luke to take over though.

Relaxing in the swing...he loves his swing!

One night Brian saw Luke making this hand while sleeping so he had to take a picture.

Sic Em BEARS!!!

The crazy, tired parents!
More silly faces

Luke's first trip to Walmart!  Ha Ha

Brian is putting together Luke's new dresser!

It looks great!

October 31st!  Happy Halloween from "Grandma's Creepy Crawler"!  My mom got Luke this cute onesie!

This outfit was from Aunt Courtney! He missed all the trick or treater's though because he was so tired.

The quilt I made Luke

Luke's Puff Quilt

Years ago I came across my friend Heidi's blog (honeybearlane.com),  She makes beautiful baby puff quilts.  I decided that I wanted to make one when I had babies, so now was the time.  I purchased her tutorial and went shopping for fabric.  I didn't want to be set on a certain theme or color and I had a hard time finding something I liked.  Finally Brian and I picked out some great fabric and I was excited to get started!

I started back in August while my parents were in town so I could get help from my mom.  She's a wonderful sewer and I knew I needed her help!  We cut out all the fabric, which was hard work!  My dad had to help me with the math of it.

Here's my first puff!  It's so cute!  Only 60 some odd more to do...yikes!

Here's a puff in each of the 8 fabrics.

Here are all the puffs!  Brian helped me lay the pattern.

Sewing the puffs together.

The middle of the quilt is done!

Brian was great and helped me lots.  Here he is helping with the border.

Hard at work.

The back is on!

The finished product!  It was hard work, and it's not perfect (it's good for a first attempt), but I love it because I made it just for my Luke!

Here's my 10 day old baby on his special quilt!  He looks so tiny on it!

I love my little Luke!
