Halloween - Disneyland style!

It was time for another visit to Disneyland. Neither of us had ever been during October so we thought we'd see how it is during Halloween season. There's a new, popular attraction called World of Color that has a couple showings at night and the tickets go really fast so we headed to California Adventure first thing so we'd get tickets. On the way back out we stopped for some "breakfast" at one of the candy stores. Check out the size of these brownies...

We headed back over to the Disneyland entrance and started seeing all the festive Halloween decorations. These Disney character jack-o'-lanterns were perched on top of the entry gates.

Once inside the park we took some pictures of more of the decorations.

Time to hit the rides! Jen and I love Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. You ride in a cart and hold laser guns. There's targets everywhere to shoot and the ride keeps track of your score. Below is Jen with her blaster and receiving a medal for doing a great job. I'm standing with my three-eyed alien buddies.

Jen nearly became fish food for the whale on the Storybook Land Canal Boats. Then she stopped by to make a wish at Snow White's Wishing Well.

Here we are taking a ride on our trusty steeds.

This visit we made time to catch the parade. It was great. There's characters riding around in huge, crazy looking vehicles, and dancers in the street and music playing, and they get the kids involved out in the middle of it. It was great times.

Here's a little taste.

Over in California Adventure we caught the Aladdin show. It's just like the movie but the Genie cracks more jokes about current events. It was nice to sit and relax for a bit.

We got a nice shot of Jen with the Tower of Terror in the background. It has the worst elevator ride you'll ever take. You may be able to tell from my screams.

Here we are with the roller coaster and the ferris wheel in the background.

We love this coaster and rode it a bunch. Come along for the night ride...

Finally at night it was time for what we'd been waiting all day for, World of Color. It's a huge fountain that shoots jets of water high into the air and sprays a wall of water that you can see a show on. We've included a short video. It was worth seeing once, but I think we'll skip it from now on.

We hope you enjoyed us sharing it with you. We'll be going again for the Christmas season so we'll show you that soon.
