March 16th-31st
Jen does her first diy makeover project!
I have a mirror that was my grandma Taylor's but it was an awful gold color. I am not a fan of yellow gold, but the mirror had sentimental value. I told myself years ago when I got it that I would spray paint it another color. And, I finally did!
Here's the before:
I'm ready to attack!
Here it is! I love it!
Brian found a little garden snake in the grass between our house and our neighbors. Eek!
Cute pictures of Brian and Luke! I sure do love them!
Happy St. Patrick's Day
Watching the Baylor Bears!
Brian hung up the mirror in our bedroom! I love it so much now that it's silver!
We took Luke to the park down the street. I have him in the carrier. We decided to swing a bit.
Here are some videos of the park adventure.
Learning how to stand up.
My crazy child who I was trying to put down for a nap.
Hooray he's sleeping!
Luke cracks up whenever we sing and dance with him. Sorry we sound ridiculous!
Sleeping with Softy Bear in his mouth
Cutie with a baseball hat on!
I love this picture!
Father and Son!
We finally busted out my awesome food processor to make something special for the next night's dinner.
I made a creamy tomatillo ranch salad dressing. It's a copy of Cafe Rio's. It came out great!
Luke is so silly!
Love this! Sorry if these pictures look a little blurry. Our camera decided to spaz out.
Here I am making homemade tortillas! These were pretty easy and tasted awesome!
Brian made the pico/salsa
Here is our super crazy yummy dinner. I made Cafe Rio salads! For those of you who aren't familiar with the awesome restaurant, here's what it consists of (from the bottom layer up):
tortilla (I did homemade)
black or pinto beans
cilantro rice
shredded chicken (or pork or beef)
lettuce
salsa, guacamole, tortilla strips (we only had chips)
and a creamy tomatillo ranch dressing
It was a delicious feast and tasted like the real thing! It also satisfied the craving I had been having for months. :) This restuarant is big in Utah and they had opened some in Southern California, but there are none in Texas. :( Maybe one day!
It was a lot of work to make it all, so hopefully I've gotten my fill for a while. We also made homemade horchata. So delicious!
We invited Courtney and David up since it had been Courtney's birthday a couple of weeks before. I made a special dessert for her too. It's a brownie with a peanut butter cookie dough (minus the egg) on top. It was good. Very rich! We added M&M's, but we weren't really a huge fan of that addition. If we make this again, we won't add them.
Happy Birthday sister!
Sadly our camera died and most of these pictures are from my phone and aren't the best quality. Sorry!
This is the best video. Sorry it's a little shakey, but I was trying not to distract him with my phone. I was putting his ball on my head and when it would fall off he would laugh.
Here's another awesome video of Luke finally jumping in his jumperoo. He finally got the hang of it and would go crazy! Brian and I would just sit there and laugh!
For General Conference Saturday I made fry bread/scones. It wasn't my best batch...that's all I'm going to say about that.
Here we are on the 31st cheering on Louisville's men's basketball team in the Final 4. Go Uncle Noah's school!
And then that afternoon we went out and bought us a new camera! We didn't want to miss any of Luke's awesome moments. We got a nice Cannon that takes seriously beautiful pictures. We were so excited to have a camera again that we went a little crazy with the pictures.
I don't know what was up with his tongue, but he just had to show it off. Love him!
The new camera does awesome with water shots. So cool!
Thanks for watching the Luke show. Stay tuned for more.
