April Part 1

April 1st - 15th

We've had some great cool spring weather so we've been out enjoying it. Luke loves to be chauffeured around the neighborhood and see everything.

Luke loves his jumperoo and we love capturing his funny faces when he's jumping.

Springtime also means bluebonnets in the fields of Texas. We waded among our state flowers to take some pictures.

Poor Luke stuck in the car seat.

The play mat tastes good.

When Luke was born he looked so tiny in his swing and now he barely fits.

We took a trip down to Waco to visit my parents for a couple days on Easter weekend.

While in Waco, Jen got the opportunity to meet up with one of the moms from a Facebook group of October babies that she joined while she was pregnant. It's been a fantastic group for questions and concerns and laughs and drama. This is Hayli and Kash meeting Jen and Luke at the park.

We had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard for my niece, Averie, and nephew, Jackson. We had fun.

I hid Jackson's eggs and made him search high and low.

The found them all though and got lots of candy.

Luke lying down for a snooze.

Luke loves to play.

And he loves his Grandma and Pop Pop.

And he loves his cousins, Jacob, Averie, and Jackson.

Now that Luke is 6 months old we wanted to try feeding him some baby food. Jen made homemade sweet potatoes for his first meal.

Here we go...

Yuck!

Get that out of my face!

But leave the spoon.

And airplane?! Really!

That was a yucky trick, Dad!
So sweet potatoes didn't go over well. Luke prefers Mommy's milk.

Hooray for Mommy!

Luke and Jen met up with another mom and baby from the Facebook group that live in nearby Frisco. Here's Luke on the grass with his new friend, Tulip.

Check out my tongue, ya'll.
Bye bye!
